Golf De Moliets
Created in 1989, this officially-rated golf course was designed by American architectRobert Trent Jones. The Moliets golf course is ranked amongst the top ten in France and is listed as one of the 25 most beautiful courses in Europe.
For the last few years, we are proud to have been included in Golf Digest Magazine’s top 100 golf courses in the world.
The surrounding flora and Landaise forest with its hundred year-old pines give the relatively young Golf de Moliets (barely twenty years old) the beauty and grace of a much older course
Topography: slightly irregular relief gives each hole its own particular cachet
The 4-hole links amidst the dunes on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean create a very Irish feel
Soil quality: the course was built on sandy soil for year-round golf in all weathers
The many water hazards create an unrivalled green landscape.
Technical characteristics of the 18-hole course
A straightforward course where golfers have a clear view of the hazards and obstacles. The tee layout means golfers of all levels can enjoy the course.
A difficult course to score, the greens are well-protected by bunkers and water hazards.
Depending on the weather and the wind, the ocean links can be the hardest or most fun part of the course.
The idyllic surroundings are perfect for golfers with a handicap of 30 or less, as well as intermediate and experienced golfers. On a clear day, you can see the Basque Country’s famous Larrun peak from the 15th hole.
